Taking on a Higher
Call for God


I had many plans for my life, and I knew that many of them were a necessity for me. However, attending college for a degree in theology was the last thing that I would have ever imagined that I would do. Yes, I loved God and strived to do the best I could as a person, but being a spiritual leader was not on my agenda.

Although God allows us free will, I had finally learned enough lessons to know not to refute his will. I knew it was imperative that I follow God's instructions. Nonetheless, I asked God why He wanted me to return to school for theology. So many people were starting to pursue degrees in theology at the time, and I did not want to enroll in the program because it was the new in thing.

After a few weeks of praying, God gave me revelation. He said, Priscilla, the world has changed since you were growing up listening to your grandmother and the other adults in the neighborhood. Young people do not listen to adults just because they are adults. Today, young people are inquisitive; they want answers. If you tell them to do something, give them advice, or...
